You want to create a game-changing strategic plan filled with inspiring ideas, but when the moment of truth comes…your workshop falls into silence.

There are many causes of this awkward moment which could stop your meeting in its tracks. In this column from the Jamaica Gleaner, I introduce the technique I use to capture the current situation in the organization - a Snapshot. I further add that a live SWOT exercise only gets in the way.

Just to reiterate, there are many more steps to prevent your workshop or retreat from being derailed, but this is a critical one that just isn’t optional.
